Earlier vendors were given a Silver or Gold certified Partner badge, basis the number and level of competencies they offered and qualified for. The formal MS Partners or MCPs (and above partner levels) have exclusive access to tools, training, discounted pricing modules, 24X7 support, and other resources – by Microsoft.

The Microsoft Cloud Partner Program ( MCPP ) 

Microsoft Corp. runs its Cloud Partner Program globally. It awards a variety of Partner credentials to vendor firms, based on their level of expertise, infrastructure, certifications, and offered service capabilities. In its latest version - the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program – vendor companies can build partner levels up to the ‘Solutions Partner’ stage - for up to 6 broad-level Microsoft Solutions. This negates the previously operable Gold and Silver class designations for Partners, thereby simplifying the program. Changes, in effect from October 2022, have been introduced to meet the evolving markets and consumer needs – and also to ease the business opportunities for the partners. This applies to all the providers and certified partners, selling/ building services, software solutions, or OEMs/ devices. A provider or vendor can achieve the Solutions Partner designation in any or all of the 6 broad solution categories on the MS Cloud. They are –
